Vacancy on American River Flood Control Board

Do you feel like serving our community? Do you live in (pay taxes to) the American River Flood Control District? If so, you may want to consider applying to the American River Flood Control District for the vacant position on their governing board. The eligibility requirement is quite simple: be a registered voter who lives within the district boundary. At the moment, there are 4 people on the Board of Directors who live in the City of Sacramento (3 in East Sacramento, 1 in Glenbrook). No one on the Board lives in Arden Arcade. Do you think someone from this side of the river should be on the Board of Directors? If so, please consider running.

Applications must be received by April 30th. The District Board will hold a special meeting on May 1, 2019, and may appoint the new Trustee during that meeting. The specifics are available at the American River Flood Control District’s web site.

If you are a registered voter who lives in the Arden Arcade parts of the crosshatched area shown here and you have a pulse, you can be a voice for Arden Arcade on the American River Flood Control District. Applications to be on the District governing board are due by April 30th.
