Incorporation efforts in other communities
California has 482 cities. It also has over 6 million people who live in urbanized unincorporated communities. Put in perspective, the states of Tennessee and Missouri each have around 6 million people. Those states have 2 Senators in Congress, a Governor, and their own state Legislature to represent them and strive for public policies that will benefit their constituents. The 6+ million Californians don't have that kind of representation; in fact they don't have Mayors and City Councils to focus on local priorities either. Read about the other communities here.
