Three cheers for Riley! She is a young girl who lives in the Cottage Creek Nextdoor Neighborhood. POP Sargeant Taylor Magaziner of the Fulton-El Camino Recreation and Park District Park Police posted an item on Nextdoor the other day about Riley having made over 500 cookies for local law enforcement officers to thank them for keeping us safe. Riley had called the dispatcher (at the Sheriff’s non-emergency number, 916-874-5115) to invite local law enforcement officers to come over for the cookies. The CHP, a Sheriff’s K9 unit, the Park Police and a Sheriff’s helicopter showed up at her house. The Park Police let her sit in their car and play with the lights and the siren. And she loved being with the dogs.
