Have you voted yet? If not, please do.

By mail, by drop-off and in-person voting continues for the March 3rd Primary election. If you have already voted, thank you! If you are an eligible voter who hasn’t voted yet, please do so by March 3rd. If you haven’t registered yet, you can do so right up to - and on - election day at any Vote Center.

The County has published online a complete list of locations of drop boxes and vote centers. Voters can drop off their ballots or vote in person at any of them. The Arden Arcade locations can be hard to find in the County’s list because they are buried within the City of Sacramento locations. As previously noted, the short list is: our local Arcade and Arden-Dimick libraries, Howe Park, the Lutheran Church on Marconi at Mission, and Rio Americano HS. The Vote Centers are staffed in case voters have problems, need help with their ballots or want to register to vote.

Vote-by-mail ballots that are mailed must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received by the County elections office no later than 3 days after election day. If you think your mailed ballot might not get to the County in time, use any of the drop-off locations or vote centers.

Because vote-by-mail ballots can be tallied after March 3rd, the results of close contests might not be known for several days after the election (in fact, election offices have 30 days to count all the votes). After March 3rd, though, our TV/radio airwaves and our phone lines will be free of those annoying vote-for-me political ads and calls. Keep in mind: not voting will invalidate any complaints you might have about the results.
