Nurturing the Arts in Arden Arcade

Sean Ashe is a talented young guitarist making his way up in the music world. Sean has released two albums, has over 10,000 followers on YouTube, has been playing with the local band AudioMutt, and - thanks to Covid - has reinvented himself as an online guitar teacher. He recently made a music video of one of the songs on his latest album. The Arden Arcade connection is where he recorded the video: at the Conzelmann Community Center in Howe Park.

The recording session came about because the Fulton-El Camino Recreation and Park District wanted to promote the Arts for the community and needed help with the costs of putting high-end audio and video functionality in the community center. The Rotary Club of Arden Arcade donated funds for the project. One of their people happened to mention the remodeled facility to a AudioMutt band member. And that led Sean to see if the space would meet his professional recording needs and eventually produce his music video there. One thing leads to another, doesn't it? It's great that our community has this new capability. Aspiring artists who want to know more about it can email Emily Ballus, the park district's General Manager, at Eballus@fecrpd.com.
