Our County Supervisor, Rich Desmond, is holding an online community meeting on Wednesday afternoon, September 29th at 5:30 pm. The meeting is about resettlement of Afghan refugees in our community - a timely topic given that the U.S. Census says more Afghans live in zip codes 95821 and 95825 than any other zip codes in the U.S. Beyond the importance of this topic is the notion of listening to the community. Many times here on our blog we have discussed the need for early community involvement, responsiveness to community input, and easy accessibility to public meetings. It is great to see our new Supervisor acting accordingly. So, please register for and participate in this meeting.
