Some of our readers have been having issues with the homeless encampments on Alta Arden. They reported the problems to the HOT (homeless team) and POP (problem-oriented policing) officers like the community is always told to do at the bi-monthly meetings at the bowling alley. The graphic below is a screenshot of the Sheriff's Dept. response. No HOT, no POP, use the non-emergency number - for 6 weeks or more because of staffing problems.. What's up with that?
