Thank you, Park Police!

The Fulton-El Camino Park Police posted a real stunner on their Facebook page last night. On June 4th they arrested a person in one of our local parks who had been exposing himself and luring children. The person they arrested is a registered sex offender with a criminal record and a prior conviction of child molestation. Obviously our community is better off with that person behind bars! Serious appreciation goes to the Park Police and the witnesses who provided evidence that aided in the arrest and can help with conviction..

For readers who might not be aware, the Park Police are a Department of the Fulton-El Camino Recreation and Park District (FECRPD) that patrol the FECRPD parks. They also are contracted to patrol the unincorporated area's parks in seven other park districts north of the American River. Being spread so thinly over such a wide area, the County Sheriff's Department relies on the Park Police for public safety in all of those parks and vectors 911 calls to them when local FECRPD and contracted parks are involved.
