Summary -- Community Forum with John Chiang

The Advocates for Arden Arcade co-hosted the 12/15/2017 Community Forum with State Treasurer John Chiang, a candidate for Governor in 2018. Turnout was excellent, particularly for an event held just 10 days before Christmas. Mr. Chiang gave a thorough presentation of his background and policy positions and responded to questions from the audience. There are several candidates running for Governor in 2018, including two (so far) who have spoken at Howe Park in Arden Arcade: Delaine Eastin and John Chiang. It is gratifying when candidates recognize our community and become aware of local concerns. Our sincere appreciation goes to the hosting organization -- the Town and Country Democratic Club, the other co-hosts who helped put the event together -- the JFK Democratic Club, Wellstone Progressive Democrats, Elk Grove-South County Democratic Club, Veterans Democratic Club, and the Greater Arden Chamber of Commerce -- and to the Fulton-El Camino Recreation and Park District for providing a pleasant and convenient location for the Forum.
