Featured Business: Anderson Brothers Pharmacy

If you are at Town and Country Village and walk south from Noah’s Bagels to Starbucks, you will pass by Anderson Brothers Pharmacy, which a sign in the window notes has been in business for 70 years. Lots of things have changed around here since 1949, but Anderson’s is still there, still serving customers. It’s not a corporate big box pharmacy, it is family-owned-and-operated. In other words, it is an iconic local business, sort of the Emigh Hardware of local pharmacies. Walter and Harold Anderson moved to Arden Arcade from the Bay Area to established their pharmacy. Walter’s son, Steve, worked in his father’s business, became a pharmacist and eventually took over the operations. The family’s long-time commitment to our community and our local economy is appreciated!
