Candidate Forum for SD06 & AD07, April 28th at Carmichael Library

The public is encouraged to attend the Candidate Forum on April 28th from 6:30pm,-8:30pm at the Carmichael Library at 5605 Marconi. Candidates for State Senate District 06 and Assembly District 07 (see the maps, below) have been invited to speak. As of this writing, all candidates running for those offices have confirmed that they will be present.

The candidates will be on the June 2026 ballot seeking to represent portions of Arden Arcade, Carmichael and Foothill Farms, with direct influence over the daily lives of residents and businesses in our unincorporated communities. The top 2 vote-getters will move on to vie in the the November election. Ballots for the June election are scheduled to be mailed on May 4th. The April 28th Candidate Forum is an opportunity for voters to learn what each candidate stands for and what it will mean for our area if the candidate is elected.

The Candidate Forum is co-sponsored by the Advocates for Arden Arcade and the Greater Arden Chamber of Commerce. It will be moderated by the League of Women Voters of Sacramento County.  Free parking is available at the library's parking lots behind the building. There is no charge to attend. Because our communities hardly ever get attention -  especially in the run-up to elections - the sponsors hope a lot of people will be there. Show the candidates that your votes matter!  (And maybe help teach the County to issue Voters' Guides that clarify we are not part of the City of Sacramento - as has once again happened in the current County Voter Information Guide).
