Candidate Forum for Congressional District 03, May 7th at Howe Park
The public is encouraged to attend the Candidate Forum for Congressional District 03 on May 7th from 6:30pm,-8:30pm at the Conzelmann Community Center in Howe Park at 2201 Cottage Way. All 8 candidates for the seat have committed to appear in person at the Forum.
The candidates will be on the June 2026 ballot seeking to represent all or portions of Arden Arcade, Carmichael and Foothill Farms, with direct influence over the daily lives of residents and businesses in our unincorporated communities. The top 2 vote-getters will move on to vie in the November election. Ballots for the June election are scheduled to be mailed to voters today. The May 7th Candidate Forum is an opportunity for voters to hear firsthand what each candidate stands for and what it will mean for our area if the candidate is elected.
The Candidate Forum is co-sponsored by the Advocates for Arden Arcade and the Greater Arden Chamber of Commerce. It will be moderated by the League of Women Voters of Sacramento County. Free parking is available at the park via the main entrance across from Home Depot and the in the lots off Bell at the NE and SE corners of the park. It can be challenging to find a close-in parking space, so try to arrive early. There is no charge to attend.
Because our communities hardly ever get attention - especially in the run-up to elections - the sponsors hope a lot of people will be there. Show the candidates that your votes matter! (And maybe help teach the County to issue Voters' Guides that clarify we are not part of the City of Sacramento - as has once again happened in the current County Voter Information Guide).
