Save the Date - 12/3 Festival of Lights Parade and Tree Lighting

The 14th annual holiday tree lighting on Fulton Avenue is on December 3rd this year. At 5pm the parade begins, going from Howe Park at Bell and Cottage along Cottage to Fulton and up Fulton to the County Welfare Office site between El Camino and Marconi. At 5:30 the tree will be lit. Creekside Middle School Draft EIR released

Yesterday the San Juan Unified School District released its draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for a proposed large new Middle School campus at the site of the old Creekside Elementary School. Proposed County Ordinance about homeless camping

Sacramento County is beginning to consider an ordinance to ban homeless camping that would conflict with "critical infrastructure", while still remaining in compliance with the 2018 appelate court decision ("Martin vs. City of Boise") that said anti-camping ordinances cannot be enforced if there are not enough shelter beds available for the homeless population.
