Our Invisibility

Arden Arcade is invisible. We don't exist on most maps. We can't be found at election time. The freeeways don't identify our exits. The media names us if something bad happens (a crime, say) but refers to us as "Sacramento" if there is a happy story. The Post Office calls our addresses "Sacramento" for their own ease of distributing mail. The people that don't care about us say whatever the Post Office calls us is what we are - now and forever. Well, wait a sec. Over 100,000 people live here. Many businesses are integral parts of our community. Is there a valid reason for misleading information about their location? Why is it so hard to identify our community? Is it against the rules or something?

No, we are not in the City of Sacramento. Or any other city. Maybe we should be our own city?
